What kind of updates will you send?

The updates will include major changes to my current schedule, services, rates, and terms, plus the odd seasonal discount code.

The update will not include craft editorials, event links, writing prompts, short story news, writing opportunities, or reading recommendations (If you want those kinds of things, sign up for the Monthly Short Story Dispatch.)

Do I get anything cool for being on The Client List?

Irregular emails with updates to my services and terms aren’t cool? Kids, these days! Okay, How about a seasonal discount code? And maybe access to a referral program (when I finally figure out how to track it)? If you have other ideas, let me know!

What happens when I join?

1. You will get a confirmation email (probably in your spam) with a button to confirm that you consent to being on The Contact List. Click that.
2. Then, you will get nothing for a long time.
3. And then, one day, you’ll receive an update on the goings on at The Short Story Editor. It’s pretty chill.

I hate emails. Do I have to sign up for this?

Over the years, I’ve accumulated a large client base (yay), which means it is no longer efficient to email updates to clients one by one (boo). Plus, I always miss somebody (oops). And, because I’m a business based in Canada, it’s illegal for me to send mass emails willy-nilly, according to Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. So, I must ask that you grant me the power of email. I promise not to abuse it.

But if you don’t mind unexpected changes in services or surprises on your invoices, continue as you are, email-free and fancy!
